The catalogue for the BBAG Select Yearling Sale, set for Sept. 4 in Baden-Baden, Germany, is online and has 246 yearlings catalogued. This year's draft includes the progeny of leading sires such as Galileo (Ire), Shamardal, Pivotal (GB), Dutch Art (GB) and Exceed and Excel (Aus). Exciting young sires like Sea The Stars (Ire), Siyouni (Fr), Canford Cliffs (Ire), Lope De Vega (Ire), Mastercraftsman (Ire) and Zoffany (Ire) are also represented.
“We have had a huge influx of interest from North American buyers over the last few years, and with the quality of this year's catalogue we hope that trend will continue,” said BBAG's North American representative Sarah Seitz. “I believe people are starting to notice the high number of top-quality racehorses coming out of the smaller, more concentrated broodmare population of Germany. The charm and ambience of a Spa town like Baden-Baden, and the sale being in the middle of a racing festival is definitely part of the draw too.”
