Fourth in the G1 Moyglare Stud S. at two, Carla Bianca added the Listed Naas Oaks Trial, Gowran Park's Listed Hurry Harriet S. and the G3 Dance Design S. to her resume last term before returning to be fourth behind Legatissimo (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) in the Listed Victor McCalmont Memorial S. over an extended nine furlongs back at Gowran Apr. 26.

Given a break before finishing second to another sophomore in Words (Ire) (Dansili {GB}) in the 12-furlong G3 Munster Oaks at Cork June 14, the grey regained the winning thread under a typically well-judged front-running ride from Pat Smullen here. Sent straight to the lead, the homebred gave every indication that Elleval's presence was only spurring her on further as the line neared.

“I thought her run at Cork, conceding all that weight to a filly that is second favorite for the [Irish] Oaks, was very good,” her jockey said. “I was a little bit concerned beforehand that the ground had gone on her, but to be fair to her she got through it well and she seems to be adaptable that way.” Connections are considering a tilt at Goodwood's G1 Nassau S. Aug. 1.
