1. As I am lucky enough to have some excellent American clients and follow American racing with particular interest, I really enjoyed the fanfare attached to American Pharoah (Pioneerof the Nile). He globally captured so many peoples' imagination and support in his quest to win the American Triple Crown. His subsequent facile success in the G1 Breeders' Cup Classic rounded out a fantastic promotion of the excitement of Thoroughbred racing and ownership.

2. Watching jockey Frankie Dettori throughout the season riding better than ever with particular reference to his ride on Golden Horn (GB) (Cape Cross {Ire}) in the G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe was terrific for the sport as he is such a popular character and promoter of our sport with the wider public.

3. On a personal note, breeding at my stud Kilshannig in Ireland and being lucky enough to retain a share in G1 Irish Oaks & G1 Prix de L'Opera Longines winner Covert Love (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}), provided me with a breakout sense of achievement and satisfaction challenged only by the year our agency has had with 15 individual horses currently winning or being placed in group or stakes races for our clients. The purchase of Make Believe (GB) (Makfi {GB}) winning the G1 French 2,000 Guineas and G1 Qatar Prix de la Foret for Prince Faisal's Nawara Stud was the highlight.
