TCA Stallion Season Auction Set for Early January

The 26th annual Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) Stallion Season Auction will take place from Monday, Jan. 4 through Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016. The fundraiser will be made up of a five-day online auction and concludes with a live Select Stallion Season Auction Jan. 9 at the Keeneland Entertainment Center in Lexington.

“Our team of volunteers is working very hard to gather extremely high-quality stallion seasons at the industry's largest annual fundraiser,” said Mike McMahon, TCA board member and chairman of the auction committee. “We hope bidders enjoy the value and exclusivity available in the auction.”

The majority of stallion seasons will be offered during the online auction beginning at 9 a.m. Jan. 4 through 5 p.m. Jan. 8. Bidding by phone will take place Jan. 8 between 9 and 5 p.m.

Approximately 10 seasons will be offered during the live auction. Bidders or their authorized agents may bid on the select seasons by attending the live auction in-person or they may bid on the select seasons during the online phase with the highest bidders earning the right to bid by phone during the live auction. In addition to the seasons, the live auction will feature non-season lots such as a Triple Crown ticket package, a John Deere utility vehicle, exciting experiences and much more. A silent auction will also be offered. All non-season items will also be available for bidding during the online auction with absentee bidding available at the live auction event.
