Ultimate Shopper showed a long string of works over at GoldMark Farm Safetrack in Ocala, and entered off a trio of sharp local drills, including a :59 3/5 bullet from the gate Sept. 19. Bet down to 9-5 favoritism late, the homebred broke like a shot and was quickly clear. She tugged her way through splits of :22.70 and :45.85, and was never seriously threatened in the lane as pilot Jose Lezcano kept her honest en route to a 12 1/2-length drubbing. Fellow firster Wundahowigothere (Big Brown), a daughter of GISW Wonder Lady Anne L (Real Quiet), made a sweeping move to be second. The winner is out of a half-sister to GISW Miss Shop (Deputy Minister), GSW and MGISP Trappe Shot (Tapit), as well as the dam of GISW Power Broker (Pulpit). Mandy Pope's Whisper Hill Farm purchased Shop Glack carrying Ultimate Shopper for $150,000 at the 2009 Keeneland November sale. The mare has a 2-year-old colt by Bernardini, yearling filly by Tiznow and a weanling colt by Giant's Causeway. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $42,000.
