J S Bach to Southwest

Double Diamond Farm's J S Bach (Tale of the Cat) is aiming for a start in Monday's GIII Southwest S. at Oaklwan Park, according to conditioner Todd Pletcher. The colt graduated by 8 1/2 lengths at Gulfstream Park Jan. 17. “He did look good in his last race, and he also ran well his first time, but 5 1/2 furlongs was just a little short for him going out for his first time,” said Pletcher. “He definitely found his groove going two turns. He's trained well and we're looking forward to it.”
