Tattersalls Ireland has added six wildcards to its Cheltenham Festival Sale, which will take place in the parade ring after the last race in Cheltenham on Thursday. This brings the number catalogued to 28 and all six wildcards are point-to-point winners from last weekend, five in Ireland and one in England.
They include lot 6, Minella Mischief (Ire) (Kayf Tara {GB}), a 5-year-old trained by Colin Bowe to win at Lingstown last Sunday; Cracking Destiny (Ire) (Dubai Destination) (lot 10), winner of the 4-year-old maiden at Horse And Jockey for Donnchadh Doyle; lot 14, Mr Whipped (Ire) (Beneficial {GB}), another 4-year-old maiden winner who scored at Lingstown for Denis Murphy, the vendor of recent high-profile Cheltenham sale graduates Finian's Oscar (Ire) (Oscar {Ire}) and Poli Roi (Poliglote {GB}). Lot 21 is another 4-year-old by Beneficial, Speak Easy (Ire), who won at Kilworth on Sunday for Sean Doyle of Monbeg fame. Maire Banrigh (Ire) (Lot 25) is a well-bred mare by King's Theatre (Ire) who won a maiden on debut at Lingstown; while the sole British wildcard is lot 28, Present In Court (Ire) (Court Cave {Ire}), a winner at Bangor on Dee on Sunday. The sale also offers a unique opportunity for anyone seeking a runner at the Cheltenham Festival.
