KATHRYN THE WISE (f, 4, Uncle Mo–Shea d'Lady, by Crafty Prospector) aired by 5 1/2 lengths first out over track and trip Nov. 25, and was flattered when the runner-up from that heat returned to take three of her next four outings. Installed as the overwhelming 1-9 choice to become the third Chad Brown-trained winner on the card, the homebred grabbed the lead by a half-length without having to work too hard from the gate. She posted splits of :22.82 and :46.11, inched away at the quarter pole and ran up the score from there to take it by 12 lengths. North Eight Street (Big Brown) was second at 42-1. The winner's second dam is a full-sister to European champion Dayjur (Danzig). Sales history: $47,000 RNA Ylg '14 SARAUG. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $67,200.
