Lady Eli Returns in Loaded Jenny Wiley

Lady Eli | Sherackatthetrack

The brilliant Lady Eli (Divine Park) will face off against three other Grade I winners in a loaded renewal of the GI Coolmore Jenny Wiley S. at Keeneland Saturday.

After spending nearly 14 months on shelf with a well-documented battle with laminitis, the Sheep Pond colorbearer, unbeaten in her first six career trips to the post, lined up three times in 2016, including an emotional win in Belmont's GI Flower Bowl S. Oct. 8 and fell just a nose short when last seen in the GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf at Santa Anita Nov. 5.

Fellow GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf heroine Catch a Glimpse (City Zip) will likely control things up front. The chestnut has gone winless in four tries since capturing last summer's GI Belmont Oaks Invitational and enters off a runner-up finish in Gulfstream's Sand Springs S. Mar. 4.

Time and Motion (Tapit), last seen finishing sixth in Del Mar's GI Matriarch S. Dec. 4, registered a career high in Lexington last fall in the GI Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup.

Illuminant (Quality Road) proved worth the wait after scoring in last May's GI Gamely S., returning a winner in the Wishing Well S. going down the hill at Santa Anita Mar. 10.
