Qemah Returns At Lingfield

Qemah | Racing Post

Al Shaqab Racing's Qemah (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), a dual Group 1 winner last year at three, makes her seasonal debut in Saturday's G3 Chartwell Fillies' S. at Lingfield. Qemah is trained in France by Jean-Claude Rouget, and Al Shaqab's racing manager Harry Herbert said, “It has always been Jean-Claude's plan to start her off here. There's no suitable race in France and she doesn't have a Group 1 penalty, so it fits in right. The plan is likely to be the [G1] Queen Anne [S. at Royal Ascot] afterwards, all being well.”

Qemah has winning form over the Queen Anne course and distance, having taken last year's G1 Coronation S. at Royal Ascot prior to returning to France to win the G1 Prix Rothschild.
