Enjoying a one-length buffer into the straight, the 17-10 chalk was shaken up when threatened with 300 metres to go and maintained a high tempo for one flick of Vincent Cheminaud's whip inside the final eighth to comfortably account for Copacetic (Ire) (Lawman {Fr}) by two lengths. The homebred chestnut is a half-brother to four-time Grade I scorer Proviso (GB) (Dansili {GB}) and G1 Prince of Wales's S.-winning French highweight Byword (GB) (Peintre Celebre). He is also a sibling of the 2-year-old colt Hainault (GB) (Frankel {GB}) and a yearling colt by Bated Breath (GB).
