Four consignors have been named to handle the Ballymacoll Stud dispersal at Tattersalls this year. The dispersal will include nine yearlings, nine foals, 16 fillies, colts and geldings in training and 14 broodmares, with Corduff Stud set to offer the first of those, the nine yearlings, at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
Sir Michael Stoute's Freemason Lodge Stables will handle the sale of the horses-in-training at the Autumn Horses-in-Training Sale, with that group including promising 3-year-old Pivoine (Ire) (Redoute's Choice {Aus}) and dual Group 3 winner Arab Spring (Ire) (Monsun {Ger}).
Ballymacoll's final crop of nine foals will be offered at Tattersalls December by Norelands Stud. The stud's group of 22 fillies in training and in-foal mares will be offered at Tattersalls December by The Castlebridge Consignment and includes four-time Grade/Group 1 winner Islington (Ire) (Sadler's Wells) in foal to Kingman (GB) and five of her daughters.
Ballymacoll Stud Manager Peter Reynolds said, “Ballymacoll Stud has always been about the pursuit of excellence and this is reflected in our choice of consignors for the dispersal at Tattersalls. Corduff Stud, Norelands Stud and The Castlebridge Consignment are all hugely respected throughout the industry, while Sir Michael Stoute has been an integral part of the Ballymacoll story, having won his first Group 1 for Ballymacoll Stud when Hellenic won the 1990 Yorkshire Oaks. We are looking forward to working with all of them and also Liz Moloney of Paramount Sales in Kentucky, who will be playing an active role in the dispersal.”
