Creeping closer at the seven-sixteenths pole, she swept to the fore in hand at the top of the lane and went clear by midstretch. Rising Star and GI Chandelier S. victress Noted and Quoted, boxed in for much of the running, found daylight at the eighth pole and came calling after the leader, but Faypien had enough to hang on by a long neck.
The winner was the most expensive juvenile and third-most expensive Ghostzapper progeny overall to sell in 2016. Her dam foaled a Munnings filly last term before being bred to Zivo.
