For the sixth straight year, 16 Central Kentucky Thoroughbred farms and services will be competing for the Championship Silver Cup in the Blue Grass Farms Charities' Soccer Tournament at historic Dixiana Farm in Lexington Saturday June 3, from 2:30-8 p.m. The highly contested 15 game single elimination event continues throughout the week with the championship game taking place the following Saturday at 2 p.m.
The tournament supports Blue Grass Farms Charities' benevolence services and educational, family, and recreational programs for Thoroughbred farm worker families. The soccer tournament is free and open to the public. Food trucks, service vendors, and children's activities will be on site.
Teams competing for the championship title include: Ashford Stud, Back Stretch Track, Calumet Farm, Dixiana Farm, Gainesway Farm, Juddmonte Farms, Lane's End Farm, Lexington FC, Millennium Farms, Ramsey Farm, Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, Stephen Hillenmeyer Landscape Services, St. George Sales/Blackwood Stables, Summer Wind Farm, Taylor Made Farm, and Three Chimneys Farm.
