Retrieval Mission

Senga | Scoop Dyga

Having flopped when only 11th as the favourite for the G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches at Deauville on May 13, the Niarchos Family's Senga (Blame) is looking for a confidence-restoring outing in Sunday's G2 Prix de Sandringham at Chantilly. Previously successful from La Sardane (Fr) (Kingsalsa) in the G3 Prix de la Grotte over this course and distance on Apr. 16, the homebred may have been compromised by the testing ground in the mile Classic. The Wertheimers' Gold Luck (Fr) (Redoute's Choice {Aus}), a half-sister to Goldikova (Ire) (Anabaa), is also a course winner having captured the nine-furlong G3 Prix Vanteaux on Apr. 9 and she too may have found soft going against her when subsequently fifth in the G1 Prix Saint-Alary over 10 furlongs at Deauville on May 14.
