+VERBAL DEXTERITY (IRE) (c, 2, Vocalised–Lonrach {Ire}, by Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}), sent off at 8-1, tracked the leading trio without cover throughout the early stages. Moving forward to take command with 1 1/2 furlongs remaining, the imposing homebred stayed on strongly to win by 9 1/2 lengths from Sebastiano Ricci (Ire) (Lope de Vega {Ire}), with Caffe Macchiato (Ire) (Fast Company {Ire}) 1 1/2 lengths away in third. “He's a nice big individual who had been working well, but is very laid-back and very raw,” jockey Kevin Manning said. “There is lots of improvement in him. Conditions were tough there and they went a nice pace. He was running very green and I was getting there too soon, but I had to keep him rolling and he kept going well.” Lonrach's first foal, Renewed Focus (Ire), a colt by Intense Focus, died as a 2-year-old, so Verbal Dexterity is her first runner. She has a yearling full-sister to the winner, who is from the family of Bolger's dual group 1-placed Luminata (Ire) (Indian Ridge {Ire}). Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, €10,780.
