Finest City Headlines PHBA Iroquois Award Winners

Seltzer Thoroghbreds' champion female sprinter Finest City (City Zip) took home Pennsylvania-bred Horse of the Year honors, alongside two other awards, at the PHBA's 38th Annual Iroquois Awards Banquet June 9 at the Hershey Hotel. The winner of last year's GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint to sew up her Eclipse Award, the chestnut also won Iroquois statues for Older Sprinter and Female Sprinter and her dam, Be Envied (Lemon Drop Kid), took home the Broodmare of the Year award.

Other notable winners include J A G Racing and Jettany Thoroughbred Corp.'s Lucy N Ethel (During), who was awarded top 3-year-old filly honors after capturing the GII Prioress S. and GIII Old Hat S. last term, G M B Racing's Tom's Ready (More Than Ready), who took the 3-year-old male and top sprinter titles after winning the GII Woody Stephens S. and GIII Ack Ack H., Mid-Atlantic staple Page McKenney (Eavesdropper), who was named top older male, and Al's Gal (English Channel), who was an easy choice in the female turf horse category after upsetting the GI E.P. Taylor S.
