Saturday's G2 Grosser Hansa-Preis at Hamburg is a rematch between the G2 Grosser Preis der Badischen Wirtschaft one-two Guignol (Ger) (Cape Cross {Ire}) and Iquitos (Ger) (Adlerflug {Ger}), with the latter attempting to reverse a neck deficit with his compatriot from that May 28 Baden-Baden contest. The former, who represents Stall Ullmann, captured the G1 Grosser Preis von Bayern at Munich at the start of November, while Stall Mulligan's Iquitos was successful in the G1 Grosser Preis von Baden in August and they sit at the top of the country's pecking order of older horses. The sole 3-year-old is Rennstall Germanius's June 18 Listed Bremen Derby Trial third Amigo (Ger) (Lord of England {Ger}) and he receives 12 pounds from the two main protagonists.
