Jockey Gerald Mosse has got the call to ride G2 Queen Mary S. winner Heartache (GB) (Kyllachy {GB}) in Sunday's G2 Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte, with regular rider Adam Kirby unable to make the 8st 12lb weight. Clive Cox, who trains Heartache for the Hot To Trot Syndicate, partnered with Mosse to win the Papin in 2012 with Reckless Abandon (GB) (Exchange Rate).
“Gerald rides purely because Adam can't do the weight, it's as simple as that,” said Cox. “One of the main attractions of this race was the fact she escaped a Group 2 penalty for her Queen Mary win, but unfortunately for Adam the sex allowance has worked against him in this case. I'm delighted to be able to call on Gerald, though, we go back a long way.”
