Izzy Bizu, who debuted with a May 11 score at Catterick before slipping to 11th in York's May 19 Listed Marygate Fillies' S., regained the winning thread with tallies at Carlisle June 8 and Leicester June 17, and lined up for this second black-type start coming off a July 3 conditions third at Pontefract. Breaking sharply to lead from the outset, she came under pressure to maintain control off the home turn and kept on resolutely for stretch-long urging to hold on for a career high.
Izzy Bizu is the third black-type performer produced by Listed Prix Occitanie third Dame Hester (Ire) (Diktat {GB}) and is a half-sister to MGSW German highweight sprinter Donnerschlag (GB) (Bahamian Bounty {GB}) and G3 Round Tower S. third De Boss Man (Ire) (Dandy Man {Ire}). She is from a family which also features G1 New Zealand 1000 Guineas victress Platinum Witness (Aus) (California Dane {Aus}).
