Eziyra | Racing Post

After a third placing in the G1 Irish Oaks at The Curragh July 15, His Highness The Aga Khan's Eziyra (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}) has the look of a good thing in Tuesday's G3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Give Thanks S. at Cork.
Last year's G3 C.L. & M.F. Weld Park S. scorer was having only her second start of the current campaign behind Enable (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}) and Rain Goddess (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) in that Classic and if she is in the same mood, should readily dispose of the opposition which includes the July 10 Listed Lenebane S. first and second Flying Fairies (Ire) (Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}) and Glamorous Approach (Ire) (New Approach {Ire}). Dermot Weld's four successes in this, which include one with Eziyra's relative Edelmira (Ire) (Peintre Celebre) in 2014, are matched by Aidan O'Brien who saddles a trio featuring Key To My Heart (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). She beat Bloomfield (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}) and her subsequent G2 Kilboy Estate S.-winning stablemate Elizabeth Browning (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) with authority in the Listed Naas Irish EBF Naas Oaks Trial over 10 furlongs June 28 before disappointing when last of 11 in the July 8 GI Belmont Oaks Invitational.
