A total of 287 2-year-olds have been catalogued for the 2017 Goffs Sportsman's Sale on Sept. 28, the day after the Goffs Orby Sale concludes. The former was also second in the G2 Norfolk S. at Royal Ascot.

Among the lots of interest, is a Camas Park Stud-consigned bay filly (lot 494) by Mastercraftsman (Ire). Out of Group 3 winner Lasting Chance (American Chance), the April foal is a half-sister to MSW and G1 Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Cup runner-up Collection (Ire) (Peintre Celebre) and SP Belisarius (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}).

Listed Prix Hampton heroine Desert Drama (Ire) (Green Desert), who placed in the G2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte, has lot 708 to go under the hammer. The Ballylinch Stud-consigned filly is a full to Endless Drama (Ire) (Lope de Vega {Ire}), who ran second in the G1 Irish 2000 Guineas and the G1 Al Shaqab Lockinge S.

Dream Ahead recently celebrated a Group 1 winner in France when Al Wukair (Ire) was first past the post in the G1 Prix Jacques Le Marois on Sunday. Lot 713, a filly out of the Ballylinch Stud draft, has a page loaded with updates, as her half-brother Frankuus (Ire) (Frankel {GB}) was victorious in Haydock's G3 Rose Of Lancaster S. on Aug. 12. Her second dam is G1 Phoenix S. victress Pharaoh's Delight (Ire) (Fairy King).

“We have reverted to the sale's most successful one day format this year and have handpicked a high quality bunch of commercial yearlings and real 2-year-old types,” said Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby. “The sale takes place immediately following two days of the very best at Orby, resulting in an Irish yearling sales week that offers buyers at every level of the market the best chance to source their future winners.”
