Al's Gal (English Channel-Dans La Ville {Chi}, by Winning), victorious in the 2016 GI E. P. Taylor S., will be offered in foal to leading sire Medaglia d'Oro at this year's Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale in Lexington. She will be consigned by James B. Keogh (Grovendale), Agent.
The Pennsylvania-bred, claimed by Mike Maker on behalf of Ken and Sarah Ramsey for $35,000 in early 2015, came to hand at age five in 2016, winning the Keertana S. ahead of runner-up efforts in the GIII Modesty H. and the GI Beverly D. S. Back to winning ways in the Kentucky Downs Ladies' Marathon, she sat handy to the pace in the E. P. Taylor, was narrowly in front entering the final eighth of a mile and held gamely for the victory. Retired with eight wins from 27 starts and earnings just shy of three-quarters of a million dollars, Al's Gal was purchased by SF Bloodstock and Newgate Farm for $800,000 at Fasig-Tipton November last fall.
“Al's Gal, a Grade 1 winner of the prestigious E. P. Taylor, finished on the podium over 70 percent of the time in 27 lifetime starts,” Tom Ryan of SF Bloodstock said. “She is good-looking, sound and honest. She is in foal to Medaglia d'Oro, who has sired five Grade 1 winners so far this year. His Keeneland Book 1 average is over $600,000.”

A full-sister to SW & GSP Ann of the Dance, Al's Gal is out of a full-sister to Chilean champion Santona (Chi), dam of 2003 GIII Pennsylvania Derby winner Grand Hombre (Grand Slam).
The Keeneland November sale is scheduled for Nov. 7-18.
