Caulfield: End Sweep's Legacy

Bearing in mind that Distorted Humor's fee has risen from $10,000 to $300,000 in the space of seven years, I can't help wondering what the future might have held for End Sweep had he not been exported after the 1999 season.
After all, End Sweep, like Distorted Humor, was sired by Forty Niner from a graded-winning granddaughter of Northern Dancer. And, like Distorted Humor, he was placed in both the GII Jerome H. and GII King's Bishop S. In the process, End Sweep, like Distorted Humor, showed more speed than stamina, notably winning the GI Highlander H., GIII Jersey Shore H. and the Kentucky Cup Sprint.
