Second Drugs Ban For Swift

Jockey Dale Swift has had his license suspended until December 2018 having tested positive for a metabolite of cocaine back in March. Swift has not ridden since then and it is the second ban the rider has received having been suspended for six months for a similar offence in 2015. His former weighroom colleague Graham Gibbons is also facing a ban having tested positive for a metabolite of cocaine when tested at Kempton last year. Gibbons was supposed to face a disciplinary committee on Thursday but this has been deferred to Oct. 5 due to unforeseen transportation issues.
