Editorial (War Front–Playa Maya, Arch), a half brother to Millionaire and leading sire Uncle Mo (Indian Charlie), will stand the 2018 season in Chesapeake, Maryland. The 3-year-old will stand as a partnership between Climax Stallions LLC and Tom Bowman. A stud fee will be announced at a later date.
“We at Climax Stallions have been looking to get into the Maryland market, after success in Kentucky and California, and we feel Editorial is the perfect horse to showcase in Maryland,” said Sean Feld, managing director of Climax Stallions. “Under
the care of Todd Pletcher for Coolmore, Editorial displayed an impressive turn of foot which you always look for in a top sire. He has a phenomenal pedigree and the looks to match, he should thrive in the breeding shed.”
Campaigned by Coolmore partners and Todd Pletcher, the bay finished second in his career debut over the Gulfstream turf last April before scoring at the Hallandale oval in his latest June 15.
Tom Bowman added, “When it comes to stallions, a major element is their genetics. When breeding to Editorial you will be able to tap into the genetics of two prominent sires in Uncle Mo and War Front. We think Maryland will accept Editorial with open arms.”
