Curlin To Dubai World Cup

Majority owner Jess Jackson put out a statement Sunday night announcing that Curlin (Smart Strike) would make his 2008 debut in the Mar. 29 G1 Dubai World Cup. The four-year-old capped off his championship campaign with a win in the Oct. 27 GI Breeders' Cup Classic. ìWe feel the best thing to do for Curlin is to take him to Dubai and point him to the Dubai World Cup,î Jackson stated. ìWe weighed the pros and cons of taking him overseas or kicking off 2008 in the States. As long as heís fit and healthy, it comes down to the fact that Curlin has earned the chance to compete in the Dubai World Cup and has the opportunity to continue to make history as an international champion on Mar. 29. This horseís greatest moments and best efforts may still lie ahead.î
