The connections of eight colts and two fillies have put up the $6,000 for a late nomination to the Triple Crown. There are a total of 459 nominees this year, just one off the record set in 2007. The new nominees are: Godolphin's Barrier Reef (Mizzen Mast), John T.L. Jones's Big Glen (Cactus Ridge), Fox Hill's Eight Belles (Unbridled's Song) (f), Bernard and Bea Oxenberg's Hey Byrn (Put It Back), Russata Stable's Jazz in the Park (Ecton Park), Super Horse Inc's Kinsale King (Yankee Victor), B. Wayne Hughes's My Pal Charlie (Indian Charlie), Brereton Jones's Proud Spell (Proud Citizen) (f), Charlotte Wrather's Rosso Corsa (Ferrari {Ger}) and Peachtree Stable's Spurrier (Dixieland Band).
