Sunday's card at Belmont Park was called off due to electrical problems. There was a transformer fire at the track Saturday morning that forced the closure of the grandstand area, but Saturday's program went off as planned. Sunday was to be closing day of the Belmont spring/summer meet. The 2008 season at Saratoga opens Wednesday.
