GISW Showing Up (Strategic Mission–Miss Alethia, by T.V. Commercial) will head to stud next season at Adena Springs South in Florida. Roy and Gretchen Jackson, who raced the five-year-old, will retain an interest in the stallion. The winner of the GII Coolmore Lexington S. and sixth in the GI Kentucky Derby, Showing Up proved an even bigger success on the grass with wins in the GI Secretariat S., GI Hollywood Derby and $1 million Colonial Turf Cup. In his lone start at four, the chestnut was beaten a neck by subsequent champion Kip Deville (Kipling) when second in the GII Maker's Mark Mile S. He compiled a record of 10-7-1-1 and earned $1,660,500. Showing Up will stand for a fee of $7,500.
