Tough Tiz's Sis Injured, Retired

MGISW Tough Tiz's Sis (f, 4, Tiznow–Leaseholder, by Taylor's Falls) has been retired after pulling up from a five-furlong workout with an injury Saturday morning at Belmont. Trainer Bob Baffert told the Daily Racing Form that an exam revealed “the beginning of a condylar fracture” in her right foreleg. Tough Tiz's Sis was coming off the best performance of her career, a 12 1/4-length victory in the GI Ruffian H. in the slop at Belmont Sept. 6. She retires with a lifetime record of 20-8-5-3 and $903,791 in earnings.
