Benny The Bull and Indian Blessing Are Year's Top Sprinters; Benny To Race in 2009

IEAH Stables' Benny the Bull (2003, h, Lucky Lionel–Comet Cat, by Birdonthewire) and then-three-year-old Indian Blessing (Indian Charlie–Shameful, by Flying Chevron) missed out on the spoils on Breeders' Cup Day, but garnered honors at the top sprinters of 2008 nevertheless. Bred and raced by Hal and Patti Earnhardt and trained by Bob Baffert, Indian Blessing was 8-5-3-0 last year. Benny the Bull, bred by Tomoka Farms, was retired last summer after going four-for-four, but it was announced last night that he will return to the track this year to defend his title.
