Andrew Rosen's Icon Project (Empire Maker), an emphatic winner last out of the GI Personal Ensign S. at Saratoga Aug. 30, is “less than 50-50” to make the GI Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic at Santa Anita Nov. 6, according to Daily Racing Form. The four-year-old's connections had opted to skip the GI Beldame S. at Belmont Oct. 3 in favor of getting a run over synthetic in the GI Juddmonte Spinster S. last Sunday at Keeneland, but she was not entered for that race. Trainer Marty Wolfson told DRF that the bay filly bled during a workout at Calder; her most recent move was a four-furlong drill in :52.40 Oct. 4. Shipped to an Ocala, Florida, farm, Icon Project is reportedly undergoing treatment in a hyperbaric chamber, and is currently in light training.
