Siyouni Nomination Sells For €75K

Samuel de Barros, a newcomer to the Thoroughbred breeding industry whose wife Elodie is a prominent breeder of trotters, purchased a nomination to Siyouni (Fr) for €75,000 on Arqana Online. The de Barros's own Haras des Authieux in Normandy and were active at this year's breeding stock sales under the advice of Bertrand le Metayer.

The sale of the nomination, one of two offered by a shareholder unable to find suitable mares to use them, took place over 24 hours from Dec. 18 to 19. The second nomination was bought back for €75,000, which is Siyouni's covering fee at the Aga Khan's Haras de Bonneval.
