Oppenheim: Royal Ascot Opener a Coolmore Success

It was a good day at the office for Team Coolmore on day one of the Royal Ascot meeting, as Canford Cliffs (GB) (Tagula {Ire}), a horse the stud bought into last year, upset Goldikova (Ire) (Anabaa) in the G1 Queen Anne S., the traditional opening event. Coolmore's Zoffany (GB) (Dansili {GB}) gave Frankel (GB)–by the nursery's Galileo (Ire)–a tussle in the G1 St James's Palace S., and Power (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}) completed the day with a strong victory in the G2 Coventry S. Coolmore will have another shot at Group 1 glory with So You Think (NZ) (High Chaparral {Ire}), deemed by Aidan O'Brien as the best horse he's ever trained, in Wednesday's G1 Prince of Wales's S.
