Shortly after Tizway's Whitney victory, Spendthrift announced that it had acquired the breeding rights to the son of Tiznow, and that he would enter stud there in 2012. ìTizway is a huge addition to the Spendthrift stallion ranks and we could not be more excited to be able to stand a horse of his caliber,î said Ned Toffey, Spendthrift's general manager. ìFor him to follow up his stellar Met Mile victory with a win today over another great field in the Whitney, one would have to say there is no finer older horse in the country.î
