Kaleem Shah's “TDN Rising Star” Bayern (Offlee Wild), the 8-5 morning-line favorite for Saturday's GII San Felipe S. at Santa Anita, will be forced to scratch from his stakes debut due to a bruised inside quarter, according to a tweet by trainer Bob Baffert. “Was looking forward to seeing him run Saturday,” tweeted the Hall of Famer. “[He'll] be ok soon.” The dark bay was coming off a 15-length romp in a Feb. 13 allowance in Arcadia, and could reportedly train up to a final GI Kentucky Derby prep.
