Nolan to Join Panel at ITBA Seminar

Peter Nolan of Peter Nolan Bloodstock is slated to join the panel for the annual ITBA National Seminar at Lyrath Hotel, Kilkenny on Feb. 11 at 2 p.m., the ITBA announced on Tuesday. Discussion topics include current issues facing breeders and possible solutions designed to help those breeders compete in a very competitive market. Other panelists are Kevin Blake, Dermot Cantillon, Brian Kavanagh, Con Marnane and John McEnery. An action plan will be unveiled later by Chairman Derek Iceton to assist breeders at all levels of the market in 2019 and going forward. Three short presentations are also on tap, with economist John Lynam analysing the 2018 flat sales, Sasha Kerins will discuss tax incentives that breeders should consider and ITBA EU Consultant Michael Treacy will discuss EU matters, including the availability of structural funding. After the panel discussion, the Tanaiste and Minister of Foreign Affairs will address the issue of Brexit, with an emphasis on bloodstock, as well as an overview by the minister and a Q&A session. Dinner will be served for those in attendance.
