The 5-year-old elevated her game while reeling off four straight last term, closing out the year with dominating victories in the aforementioned Chicago June 23 and Presque Isle's Satin and Lace S. Aug. 20 and the GII Presque Isle Downs Masters S. most recently Sept. 17. Hotshot Anna, the 5-2 morning-line favorite, worked four furlongs for owner/trainer Hugh Robertson in :47 2/5 (3/25) at Arlington June 24.
Student Body (Colonel John), upset victress of the grassy Mardi Gras S. at Fair Grounds Mar. 5, could be the main danger. The bay boasts a runaway optional claiming tally victory in her lone prior attempt over this course last September. She enters fresh off a ninth-place finish in Keeneland's Giant's Causeway S. Apr. 13.
