Mark Casse holds a strong hand in Woodbine's GIII Grey S. with Muskoka Gold (Lea) and Finalist (Tonalist). The former gets the morning-line nod after breaking his maiden in the turfy Cup and Saucer S. here Oct. 6. Prior to that, he had finished a neck second in an off-the-turf maiden special weight over this strip Sept. 15.
Finalist was second on debut in a state-bred test sprinting at Gulfstream July 27 and broke his maiden next out on that venue's main track Aug. 10. The $200,000 FTSAUG buy checked in third going 7 1/2 furlongs on the local lawn Oct. 13.
Arnaud Delacour has a live chance with Chapalu (Flatter). Second in his career bow sprinting on the Laurel turf, he graduated by 3 3/4 lengths next out going a mile on the Keeneland lawn Oct. 6.
