He was once so small he was considered to be perhaps even too small to be a jockey. He made his debut in US racing in 2008 as an obscure apprentice/exercise rider who got all of three mounts for Todd Pletcher at Gulfstream. But few riders in the history of racing have come so far so fast. Today, at the age of 28, William Buick is recognized as one of the top jockeys in the world. Buick is this week’s guest on the Thoroughbred Daily News podcast.
