A$2.7million Redoute's Choice colt Tops Brilliant Part One Finale at Inglis

The three-day Part One of the William Inglis & Son Australian Easter Yearling Sale concluded at Newmarket Tuesday with brilliant results. The pyrotechnics were led by a Redoute's Choice (Aus) colt who was knocked down to Darley's John Ferguson for a sale-topping A$2.7 million. Tuesday's session finished with an average of A$445,992 and included a phenomenal 17 yearlings selling for A$1 million or more. In all, a record 28 yearlings eclipsed the seven-figure mark, including four that topped A$2 million.ニIt is now one of the strongest sales anywhere in the world? Ferguson said. Australia endured months of uncertainty prompted by the EI outbreak, making the Easter results especially sweet, said Inglis officials.ニThe sale has exceeded all expectations given what has transpired over the past six months within the industry? William Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said.
