A More Than Ready filly produced by the regally related Danehill mare Milanova (Aus) highlighted a strong opening day of selling at the Inglis Australian Weanling and Breeding Stock Sale in Sydney, Australia. The filly was knocked down for A$625,000 to Colm Santry Bloodstock, who secured her on behalf of Coolmore. Offered as part of a reduction by Tyreel Thoroughbred Stud, Milanova, a Group 3 winner, is from a family that Coolmore has enjoyed great success with, being a full-sister to Coolmore's champion dual Group 1 winner Holy Roman Emperor (Ire).
In all, 120 weanlings sold for just short of A$4 million. The session average of A$32,872 represented a strong increase of 29 percent on last year's overall select weanling sale result.
