To Be Surprised (Aus) (Redoute's Choice {Aus}), a three-quarter sister to Exceed and Excel (Aus), smashed the sale record at Magic Millions August Thoroughbred Sale Sunday when selling for A$1.3 million. The seven-year-old mare, in foal to Zabeel {NZ}), was purchased by Patinack Farm. “We're getting together a great line up of mares and To Be Surprised will fit in nicely,” said Patinack's Rick Connelly.
