Unbridled's Song Half to Speightstown Hits the Heights

A half-sister to champion sprinter and leading freshman sire Speightstown (Gone West) realized a final bid of $1.7 million as noontime approached at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Consigned by Taylor Made on behalf of their longtime clients Aaron and Marie Jones, the smooth chestnut daughter of Unbridled's Song out of 1995 Sovereign Award-winning two-year-old Silken Cat (Storm Cat) was purchased by John Ferguson, bidding from the back ring. It is the fourth seven-figure horse produced by the 15-year-old mare.
