Zayat Goes to $875K for Mr. Greeley Colt

An attractive chestnut colt by Mr. Greeley was hammered down for $875,000 to the bid of Sobhy Sonbol, bidding for Zayat Stables, as the Wednesday session rolled on at Keeneland. Consigned by Gainesway, the January foal was successfully pinhooked by Crone Stud, which purchased the colt as a weanling for $220,000 at last year's Keeneland November sale. He is a son of Chinoe Road (Old Trieste), herself a daughter of champion Epitome and therefore a half-sister to MGSW Essence of Dubai and SW Danjur.
