Dynaformer Colt a Successful Pinhook for Glenvale Stud

Bidding on behalf of Sheikh Mohammed, John Ferguson continued his assault on the top of the market on the opening day of the Tattersalls October sale, going to 460,000gns for a colt by Dynaformer–Secret Garden (Ire) (Danehill). The March foal was consigned by Glenvale Stud, which purchased the bay for 165,000gns out of last year's Tattersalls December foal sale. He is a half-brother to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed al Maktoum's Weatherstaff (Elusive Quality), a debut winner at Ayr July 21 and most recently third, beaten a half-length, by Square Eddie in the G3 Sirenia S. at Kempton Sept. 6. The form of that race was validated when Square Eddie came back to thrash the field in the GI Lane's End Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland on the past weekend.
