Looking to add to Sheikh Mohammed's holdings, John Ferguson went to 500,000gns to get a filly by Pivotal (GB) out of Zibilene (GB) (Rainbow Quest) at Tatts October Wednesday. The bay, a February foal bred and consigned by Barouche Stud in Co. Kildare, Ireland, is a half to MGSP Mathemetician (Ire) (Machiavellian). The dam is a half to champion Gossamer (GB) and G1 Irish 2000 Guineas hero, GI Breeders' Cup Mile winner and solid sire Barathea (Ire). It is the third foal from the mare bought by Ferguson, who went to 525,000gns to get Mathemetician at TATHOU 2003, and also purchased a Cape Cross (Ire) colt now named Etosha (Ire) for 340,000gns at this sale in 2006.
