Washington Irving (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}), second in the G2 Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial and in the G3 Ballyroan S. this year for Aidan O'Brien, sold for 300,000gns during Tuesday's second session of the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale. The three-year-old colt is a three-quarter brother to champion Alexandrova (Ire) (Sadler's Wells). J H Johnson made the winning bid.
