A colt from the first crop by GSW and MGISP War Front (Danzig) brought $525,000 to top the early returns at Keeneland April Monday. Bred by Arthur Hancock III's Stone Farm, the dark bay RNA'd at $35,000 at Keeneland September, but blossomed over the winter, and zipped a quarter in :21 1/5 at the preview. Consigned by Kirkwood Stables, he was purchased by trainer John Ward. The April foal is a half to SW and GSP Pascal (Menifee). Hancock bought the dam, stakes winner La Pascua (Swi) (Caerleon), in foal to Lemon Drop Kid, for $275,000 at KEEJAN 2003. War Front stands at Claiborne for a fee of $10,000. His 2007 fee was $12,500.
